Outpatient clinic fee
The outpatient clinic fee is charged for all appointments and procedures, including remote appointments by phone and video.
The outpatient fee covers the booking services, advice and guidance related to the arrangement of the appointment, cashier services, software and register maintenance and mobile services.
Kanta fee
A Kanta fee is charged for all appointments that involve saving information in the Kanta archive. These appointments include physical and remote appointments, telephone consultations and appointments for examinations and procedures with physicians, nurses, therapists and others who offer appointments. The Kanta fee covers the cost of fees paid to the authorities and the system costs resulting from regulatory requirements.

Unused appointments and late cancellations
In case you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel the appointment or examination at least 12 hours before the scheduled visit. You can cancel the appointment through the cancellation link in the confirmation message, in the PikkuTiedot service or by calling 010 380 8000. Late cancellations and unused appointments that have not been cancelled will be charged at the full price.
Kela reimbursement
Kela provides partial reimbursement for appointment fees and the cost of examinations and care. Pikkujätti is included in Kela’s direct reimbursement scheme.
Please notice that Kela reimbursements for private medical care expenses will change on January 1, 2024. For more information on the grounds for reimbursement, see Kela’s website.
About the prices for appointments with doctors and other specialists
Pikkujätti’s doctors and other experts are mostly independent professionals who set their own prices. The prices in this price list are indicative. The price is influenced by the degree of difficulty of the speciality and the training and experience of the physician. You can find more detailed specialist-specific price estimates in the booking service.
The prices for appointments are based on the time that a physician spends treating the customer during the appointment and carrying out related tasks after the appointment, such as writing medical records and analysing examination results.
Procedures carried out during the appointment, statements, laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound examinations, supplies, vaccines and medicines are charged separately. Telephone consultations and renewals of prescriptions without an appointment are also subject to a charge.
The outpatient clinic fee and Kanta fee will be added to the prices. In addition, a protective equipment fee is charged at the appointments for infected patients.

Remote appointments and the PikkuTsätti chat service
Remote appointments are mainly telephone consultations. The specialist from Pikkujätti will call you at the beginning of the allotted time. Please ensure that you are available to take the call and have your phone close by! You cannot call the specialist back. The outpatient clinic fee and Kanta fee will be added to the prices. Unused remote appointments that have not been cancelled will be charged according to the price list. Learn more about remote appointments here.

COVID-19 tests
The Kela reimbursement only applies to tests conducted with a doctor’s referral. No Kela reimbursement will be paid if the test is performed on an asymptomatic person in order to issue a certificate, for example.
Please note that the remote or telephone appointment during which a doctor gives the test results and makes an assessment and a plan for further treatment are charged for separately.
The tests can usually be paid at for the clinic.

The price of the vaccination visit consists of the visit fee and the vaccine price according to the vaccine price list below. The outpatient clinic fee and Kanta fee will be added to the prices.

Other services
